Lindquist is in the top tier of firms in the nation that provide services to employee benefit plans, including 401(k) plans, 403(b) plans and Taft-Hartley pension and welfare trusts, among others.

Why Lindquist Leads

Experienced

Our firm conducts employee benefit plan audits for more than 200 multiemployer (Taft-Hartley), single-employer, and multiple-employer plans and trust arrangements, with total assets ranging from less than $1 million to more than $40 billion. These plans have fewer than 200 to more than 500,000 participants.  All members of our certified audit staff routinely perform employee benefit plan audits and have a solid understanding of Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA) requirements.

In addition to financial audits, our services for employee benefit plans include payroll compliance testing for multiemployer funds and claims testing for self-funded health and welfare plans. We perform 2,000 payroll compliance audits annually for 100 families of Taft-Hartley trust funds.  We perform claims testing for health and welfare plans with benefit payments of $1 million to those with benefit payments in excess of $250 million.

Active

Our firm is active in the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans (IFEBP), the Western Pension and Benefits Council and state CPA societies.  Our partners and certified managers are all members of the IFEBP; several have served as speakers and moderators at the Accounting and Auditing Institute, Collection Procedures Institute, and Annual Conference and have been involved in the IFEBP Professionals’ Committee.  Members of our management team have also spoken on benefit plan matters at continuing professional education programs of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Illinois Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Indiana Society of Certified Public Accountants.
