Certified Audit Manager

Practice: Accounting and Audit

Locations: San Ramon, California / Brea, California / Seattle, Washington

We are looking for candidates with excellent audit experience. As an audit manager, you will be responsible for scheduling, planning and efficiently completing audit engagements.

Additional responsibilities:

  • Review reports, opinions, management letters, tax returns and workpapers.
  • Supervise, review, and develop team members; provide engagement staff with regular feedback and guidance.
  • Manage multiple engagements of varying size and scope.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Participate in practice development initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in public accounting; employee benefit plan and not-for-profit experience strongly preferred.
  • Undergraduate Accounting degree.
  • Licensed CPA.
  • Ability to successfully prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
  • Ability to successfully interact with clients and Lindquist LLP professionals to effectively deliver quality professional services to clients.
  • Client service orientation combined with creative problem solving skills; strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, yet function well with independent responsibilities.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word skills.

Compliance Staff Auditor

Practice: Accounting and Audit

Locations: San Ramon, California / Brea, California / Seattle, Washington

Description: Entry level position. The compliance staff auditor will work independently at client locations, performing contribution testing to determine whether the company is in compliance with terms of trust and collective bargaining agreements.

Education: Bachelor's degree. Accounting degree NOT required.

Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Comfortable with numbers. Strong interpersonal skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Though not required, any audit experience, including internal auditing, is desirable.


Certified Staff Auditor

Practice: Accounting and Audit

Locations: San Ramon, California / Brea, California / Seattle, Washington

Description: The staff auditor will work as part of a team under the guidance of an experienced accountant/auditor on audit engagements, usually conducted at clients’ offices. Initially the staff auditor will assist in the audit of selected financial statement accounts, document accounting systems and internal controls, prepare appropriate audit workpapers, and assist in the preparation of financial statements and management letters. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively as staff auditors work closely with client personnel and all audit team members, including partners. Candidates must be interested in sitting for the CPA exam.

Education: Must have degree in Accounting; Finance majors will be considered if they have completed Intermediate II or its equivalent.

Skills: Should have knowledge of automated accounting systems and be proficient in word processing and spreadsheet applications.


Certified Senior Auditor

Practice: Accounting and Audit

Location: San Ramon, California

Description: Based on experience level, the certified senior auditor will be involved in performing audits of financial statements and other aspects involved with client audits. The senior auditor will participate in the planning and execution of specific sections of the audit engagement and will supervise staff working on those sections. Assignments will involve working with not-for-profit organizations, including pension and welfare funds, charitable organizations, and local and international unions.

Education: Accounting degree; CPA preferred, but those preparing to sit for the exam will be considered.

Experience: 2-3 years in a public accounting firm in the audit practice.

Skills: Proficiency with Excel and Word. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Technical competence.
