Mark Flanagan is known for his financial expertise and he has always had an affinity for numbers. Having spent his career in public accounting as well as in the public sector at investment management firms, Mark has experience on both sides of the table. But there’s more to Mark than crunching numbers; he is an avid sports fan and loves the outdoors.

Mark has spent his career in public accounting and was formerly part of the Lindquist team. He advanced from staff auditor to partner in eight years before transitioning to the public sector at investment management firms as Chief Financial Officer, Managing Director, and Director of Business Operations.
After more than a decade in investment management, Mark found that he couldn’t stay away from his true calling and first love: public accounting. What better place to see his potential come to fruition than at the firm where it all began—Lindquist LLP.

Mark specializes in audit and accounting services for employee benefit plans, labor organizations and not-for-profit entities. He is highly experienced in finance, compensation/benefits, internal controls, strategy and organizational design. Mark has led projects focusing on compensation and benefits analysis, evaluation of internal controls, capital expenditures and departmental reorganizations.
Mark brings with him more than 25 years of experience in both public accounting and investment management. Mark has a deep knowledge of both the accounting and financial industries and their inner workings. He brings with him a wealth of experience to not only help businesses succeed, but thrive in the complex world and regulatory environment in which we live.

Mark is a California native, who fell in love with the city of Chicago. In his spare time, you can find Mark cheering on his favorite sports teams, playing the guitar or spending time outside: golfing, mountain biking or fly fishing.
