Strategic Direction and Administration

With Barry Omahen’s business experience, his eye for talent and his vision for a better kind of CPA firm, he knows he’s part of something special—a hard-working team and one of the best firms in his field.

As managing partner, Barry provides strategic direction and oversees the day-to-day administration of the firm.  However, he continues to manage a handful of clients so he can stay current with their daily challenges.

Additionally, Barry is a key contributor to Lindquist’s quality control process, IT transformation and conversion to a paperless system.

Chairman of the Accounting and Audit Services Committee

As chairman of the firm’s Accounting and Audit Services Committee, Barry is the primary quality control reviewer, and all reports go through him. He’s the final set of eyes and the one who approves and releases everything.  He has reviewed hundreds of labor and not-for-profit organization audits and more than 2,500 employee benefit plan audits.  He establishes policies and procedures while providing technical and educational resources for the firm.

To enhance quality control, Barry and his partners continually invest in new technology systems and develop strong training programs.  With his technical expertise and high service standards, he coached the Lindquist team to become second to none in the industry. Today he would put the team up against that of any firm—big, small and everything in between.

“I came out here from Chicago because I liked what I saw in all of the partners,” said Barry. “They’re all good people and always willing to step in and help someone else. We put a lot of new programs in place and went way off the charts in terms of training. Things are even better than I had dreamed, and believe it or not, they keep improving every year.”

Barry’s vision is realized every day when clients receive the level of service they deserve. And unlike many other CPA firms, Lindquist focuses on meeting deadlines.

“Clients know our quality is top of the line,” said Barry. “We ask them when they want something and we try to finish earlier. We’ll schedule work around their needs instead of our own. That makes us stand out and clients take notice.”
